Sportsnet+ vs TSN+ (Now TSN Premium): 2026 Prices, Plans and Which to Get
Updated 57 sources
The short answer
TSN+ is no longer sold on its own. TSN stopped selling it separately in August 2026, and its content is now part of TSN Premium, so the choice now is Rogers' Sportsnet+ (Standard or Premium) against Bell's TSN Standard and TSN Premium.
Monthly prices: Sportsnet+ Standard $34.99/month, Sportsnet+ Premium $44.99/month, TSN Standard $24.99/month and TSN Premium $29.99/month. Prices in Canadian dollars as of October 2026, plus tax.
Get Sportsnet+ for the NHL and the Blue Jays: Standard has Monday Night Hockey (in English, Sportsnet+ exclusive content), all national Saturday Night Hockey games, most of the playoffs and 150+ Jays games. Get TSN for the NFL, the CFL, F1, golf's men's majors and Grand Slam tennis, and for Maple Leafs, Canadiens, Senators and Jets regional games in the team's region. Raptors coverage is split between TSN and Sportsnet. Which to get, by team and sport.
Is TSN+ still available?
No. TSN+ is no longer sold separately. TSN stopped selling it on its own in August 2026, TSN+'s content is now part of TSN Premium, and the old tsn.ca/tsnplus address now redirects to TSN's subscribe page.
If you came here looking for TSN+, the plan to look at is TSN Premium, at $29.99/month (as of October 2026, plus tax). It has everything in TSN Standard and adds NFL RedZone, 24 more NFL games, 75 more NBA games, PGA Tour Live, every LaLiga match, ManningCasts and alt-casts, extra F1, ATP, WTA and NCAA coverage, and documentaries. TSN Standard, at $24.99/month (as of October 2026, plus tax), streams TSN1 to TSN5 live.
Sportsnet+ is a different service from a different company. Sportsnet belongs to Rogers and TSN to Bell, and they're competing networks, so neither subscription includes the other. Sportsnet+ has its own two plans, Standard and Premium.

Blackouts on Sportsnet+ and TSN streaming
Both services enforce NHL regional blackouts on streaming, as TV does. TSN says NHL rules require them on all streaming devices, and Sportsnet+ limits regional games by plan.
- Sportsnet+ Standard shows Oilers, Canucks, Flames and Maple Leafs regional games only inside that team's region.
- Sportsnet+ Premium includes out-of-market games with “limited blackouts” and lets you choose the home or away feed.
- TSN Standard and TSN Premium include select Maple Leafs, Canadiens, Senators and Jets regional games, and blackouts apply.
- Out of market: the main options in Canada are NHL Centre Ice on TV or Sportsnet+ Premium for streaming. (ESPN+ is the US product only.)
- In French, west of Belleville, Ont.: the Sportsnet+ French out-of-market pass is $59.99 per season, regular season only (as of October 2026, plus tax), for Canadiens and Senators French regional games. It's sold only on sportsnetplus.ca.
Where each Canadian team's regional games are shown
| Team | Regional games on | Team region |
|---|---|---|
| Toronto Maple Leafs | TSN4 (27 games) and Sportsnet Ontario (2) | Ontario, excluding the Ottawa Valley |
| Montreal Canadiens | TSN2 in English; RDS in French | TSN2 games: Quebec and Atlantic Canada (per TSN's FAQ). RDS's French games: check your postal code in NHL.com's Broadcast Area Lookup |
| Ottawa Senators | TSN5 in English; RDS in French | TSN5 games: eastern Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada (per TSN's FAQ). RDS's French games: check your postal code in NHL.com's Broadcast Area Lookup |
| Winnipeg Jets | TSN3 | Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Nunavut, the Northwest Territories and parts of northwestern Ontario |
| Edmonton Oilers | Sportsnet West | Alberta, Saskatchewan, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut |
| Calgary Flames | Sportsnet West | Alberta, Saskatchewan, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut |
| Vancouver Canucks | Sportsnet Pacific | British Columbia and Yukon |
Sportsnet says it has 550+ national NHL games in 2026-27, 35% more than last season, with 150 regional blackouts lifted. How blackouts work, and your options from outside a team's region, are in our NHL blackouts guide.
If you already get Sportsnet on TV
If you already pay for Sportsnet through a TV provider, you may not need a full Sportsnet+ plan. The main gap is Monday Night Hockey: in English, it's Sportsnet+ exclusive content and isn't on Sportsnet's regular TV channels (TVA Sports carries some Monday games in French).
- Signing in: Sportsnet+ can be unlocked by signing in through select TV providers, including Rogers, Shaw, Telus, Bell, Source, SaskTel and Cogeco. That gives you the Sportsnet channels in your TV package.
- Rogers and Shaw TV customers with Sportsnet in their plan (Rogers Xfinity TV, Standalone TV, Rogers Digital TV, Shaw Legacy TV and Shaw Direct) get Sportsnet+ exclusive content, including Monday Night Hockey, at no extra cost. Since Sept 29, 2026, Rogers Xfinity TV plans have it on channels 500, 499 and 498 (208, 209 and 210 for Rogers together with Shaw customers). Standalone TV, Shaw Legacy TV and Shaw Direct customers watch in the Rogers Xfinity Stream app or the Sportsnet+ app; Rogers Digital TV customers use the Sportsnet+ app. Shaw Direct's no-cost access runs until June 30, 2027.
- Bell, Telus, Cogeco and SaskTel customers with Sportsnet see Saturday Night Hockey on TV, but need Sportsnet+ or the Sportsnet+ TV Provider Add-on, at $12.99/month (as of October 2026, plus tax), for Monday Night Hockey. Signing in with your provider doesn't add it.
TSN Standard and TSN Premium are sold by Bell, separately from Sportsnet+. For TV packs that carry both networks, see Sportsnet vs TSN.
How Sportsnet+ and TSN prices changed in 2026
Both services changed their prices or plans during 2026. The current prices are in the price table; this is what changed.

Frequently asked questions
Is TSN+ still available?
No. TSN stopped selling TSN+ separately in August 2026 (it was still on sale until at least Aug 15), and TSN+'s content is now part of TSN Premium. tsn.ca/tsnplus now redirects to TSN's subscribe page. TSN's streaming plans are now TSN Standard, which streams TSN1 to TSN5 live, and TSN Premium, which adds NFL RedZone, more NFL and NBA games, PGA Tour Live, every LaLiga match and more. If you're looking for TSN+, the plan to look at is TSN Premium.
How much is TSN+ now?
TSN+ no longer has a price of its own: it's part of TSN Premium, which is $29.99/month, $74.99 for 3 months or $249.99/year. TSN Standard, without the Premium extras, is $24.99/month. Every TSN bundle includes TSN Premium: TSN Premium + RDS, for example, is $30.99/month. TSN sells no day pass. Prices in Canadian dollars as of October 2026, plus tax.
How much does Sportsnet+ cost?
Sportsnet+ Standard is $34.99/month or $269.99/year, and Sportsnet+ Premium is $44.99/month or $344.99/year. MobileSyrup reports that Standard's current price took effect Sept 22, 2026; it was previously $29.99/month or $249.99/year. If you already get Sportsnet through a TV provider, the Sportsnet+ TV Provider Add-on is $12.99/month and includes Monday Night Hockey. Sportsnet+ Standard + Citytv+ is $36.99/month. Prices in Canadian dollars as of October 2026, plus tax.
What's the difference between TSN Standard and TSN Premium?
TSN Standard streams TSN1 to TSN5 live (the NFL, CFL, NBA, F1, select rounds of golf's men's majors and Grand Slam tennis on TSN), with select Maple Leafs, Canadiens, Senators and Jets regional games (blackouts apply) and multiview of up to 6. TSN Premium has all of that and adds NFL RedZone, 24 more NFL games (a second Sunday 1 p.m. ET game each week, 18 in all, and the six European international games), ManningCasts and alt-casts, 75 more NBA games, more rounds of the golf majors, PGA Tour Live, every LaLiga match (TSN Standard has 38 a season), extra F1, ATP, WTA and NCAA coverage, and documentaries. TSN Standard is $24.99/month and TSN Premium is $29.99/month. Prices in Canadian dollars as of October 2026, plus tax.
Is Sportsnet+ or TSN better for hockey?
Sportsnet+, for most NHL fans. Rogers, which owns Sportsnet, holds all national NHL rights in Canada, and Sportsnet+ Standard includes Monday Night Hockey (in English, Sportsnet+ exclusive content), all national Saturday Night Hockey games, most of the playoffs and every Stanley Cup Final game. Oilers, Flames and Canucks regional games are on Sportsnet too, and Sportsnet+ Standard shows them only inside each team's region. TSN's streaming plans include select Maple Leafs, Canadiens, Senators and Jets regional games, and blackouts apply, so fans of those four teams who live in the team's region and watch in English should get both. Wednesday Night Hockey is on Prime Video, not on either service.
Do I need Sportsnet+ Premium?
Only if you want out-of-market NHL games for Canadian teams, every US-vs-US game, a choice of home or away feed, or Sportsnet World events. Premium adds out-of-market games and every US-vs-US game (1,250+ NHL games in total) and Sportsnet World's coverage of FA Cup and Eredivisie soccer, and URC, Gallagher Premiership, Super League and NRL rugby. Sportsnet+ Standard shows Oilers, Canucks, Flames and Maple Leafs regional games only inside that team's region; Premium includes out-of-market games with “limited blackouts.” We haven't confirmed whether those include TSN's regional games for the Maple Leafs, Canadiens, Senators and Jets, so look the game up in Sportsnet+'s NHL Game Finder before you buy Premium for one of those teams. Both plans have the same Blue Jays, MLB, Raptors and NBA games, so you don't need Premium for the Jays or the Raptors. Premium is $44.99/month and Standard is $34.99/month. Prices in Canadian dollars as of October 2026, plus tax.
Does Sportsnet+ include TSN?
No. Sportsnet+ is Rogers' streaming service, TSN Standard and TSN Premium are Bell's, and Sportsnet and TSN are competing networks, so a Sportsnet+ plan doesn't include the TSN channels, and TSN's plans don't include Sportsnet+. TSN's bundles pair TSN Premium with Crave, RDS or both, not with Sportsnet+. Sportsnet+ Standard is $34.99/month and TSN Standard is $24.99/month. Prices in Canadian dollars as of October 2026, plus tax.
Do Sportsnet+ and TSN have blackouts?
Yes, for regional NHL games. TSN's FAQ says: “NHL broadcast rules require regional blackouts to be enforced on all streaming devices, just like traditional cable TV.” TSN Standard and TSN Premium include select Maple Leafs, Canadiens, Senators and Jets regional games, and blackouts apply. Sportsnet+ Standard shows Oilers, Canucks, Flames and Maple Leafs regional games only inside that team's region, and Sportsnet+ Premium includes out-of-market games with “limited blackouts.” For out-of-market NHL games in Canada, the main options are NHL Centre Ice on TV or Sportsnet+ Premium for streaming.
Is Monday Night Hockey on Sportsnet+ or TSN?
Sportsnet+. In English, Monday Night Hockey is Sportsnet+ exclusive content (first games: Oct 5, 2026), and Sportsnet+ Standard includes it. It isn't on TSN or on Sportsnet's regular TV channels; TVA Sports carries some Monday games in French. Some Canadian teams' Monday games are regional games on TSN instead, and those aren't Monday Night Hockey. Rogers and Shaw TV customers with Sportsnet get it at no extra cost: Rogers Xfinity TV customers on dedicated channels, and other Rogers and Shaw customers in an app. Bell, Telus, Cogeco and SaskTel customers with Sportsnet need Sportsnet+ or the Sportsnet+ TV Provider Add-on, $12.99/month (as of October 2026, plus tax).
Can I get Sportsnet+ through my TV provider?
Yes. Sportsnet+ can be unlocked by signing in through select TV providers, including Rogers, Shaw, Telus, Bell, Source, SaskTel and Cogeco, which gives you the Sportsnet channels in your TV package. Rogers and Shaw customers with Sportsnet in their plan (Rogers Xfinity TV, Standalone TV, Rogers Digital TV, Shaw Legacy TV and Shaw Direct) also get Sportsnet+ exclusive content, including Monday Night Hockey, at no extra cost; Shaw Direct's no-cost access runs until June 30, 2027. Bell, Telus, Cogeco and SaskTel customers still need a Sportsnet+ plan or the TV Provider Add-on for Monday Night Hockey; the add-on is $12.99/month (as of October 2026, plus tax).
Are the Blue Jays and Raptors on Sportsnet+ or TSN?
The Blue Jays are on Sportsnet+: every Jays game airs on Sportsnet except Apple TV games, both Sportsnet+ plans include 150+ Jays games and every MLB postseason and World Series game, and Premium isn't needed for the Jays. Raptors coverage is split between TSN and Sportsnet (Sportsnet's announced 2025-26 schedule had 41 national Raptors broadcasts), so you need both services to stream the Raptors' TSN and Sportsnet games. Both Sportsnet+ plans include 35 regular-season Raptors games and, in Sportsnet+'s words, “half of all playoff games” (Prime Video has the exclusive Eastern Conference Finals), and TSN Standard streams TSN's Raptors games on TSN1 to TSN5. Prime Video, included with Prime, also carries NBA games, and its announced schedule includes the Raptors on Nov 20, 2026 at Detroit and Jan 7, 2027 vs Minnesota.
Is the NFL on Sportsnet+ or TSN?
TSN. TSN, CTV and CTV2 are the NFL's exclusive broadcast partner in Canada, so Sportsnet+ doesn't have NFL games. TSN Standard streams the NFL games on TSN1 to TSN5. TSN Premium adds NFL RedZone, a second Sunday 1 p.m. ET game each week (18 in all), the six European international games, and ManningCasts and alt-casts. DAZN, which is NFL Game Pass in Canada, also streams every game.
How many devices can stream TSN at once?
TSN says you can stream TSN on up to 2 devices at the same time. TSN is only available for subscription and use within Canada, and plans renew for the billing period you chose, except in Quebec, where they renew monthly. TSN sells no day pass.
