Sportsnet: Feeds, Regions & What’s On This Week

Updated 7 TV feeds68 sources

Sportsnet in brief

Sportsnet is Rogers' sports network, launched Oct 9, 1998. It has four regional feeds, Sportsnet Pacific, West, Ontario and East, plus Sportsnet One, Sportsnet 360 and Sportsnet World, and streams on Sportsnet+. It isn't TSN: the two are separate, competing networks, and TSN belongs to Bell.

Rogers holds all national NHL rights in Canada, and Sportsnet has 550+ national NHL games in 2026-27. Its Saturday NHL broadcast is now Saturday Night Hockey, a weekly doubleheader. In English, Monday Night Hockey is Sportsnet+ exclusive content, and Wednesday Night Hockey is on Prime Video. Sportsnet also has the regional games of the Canucks (Sportsnet Pacific) and the Oilers and Flames (Sportsnet West).

Every Toronto Blue Jays game airs on Sportsnet except Apple TV games, and Toronto Raptors coverage is split between TSN and Sportsnet.

To stream it, Sportsnet+ Standard costs $34.99/month and Sportsnet+ Premium $44.99/month. Prices in Canadian dollars as of October 2026, plus tax.

Canucks regional games are for BC and Yukon only, and Oilers and Flames regional games for Alberta, Saskatchewan, the NWT and Nunavut, per a 2023 provider document. Sportsnet West also reaches Manitoba, but in Manitoba NHL.com's Broadcast Area Lookup lists only the Jets, so Oilers and Flames regional games are out of market there. Sportsnet West reaches only the western part of NW Ontario; the rest gets Sportsnet Ontario. Outside a team's region, its regional games are blacked out, and Sportsnet+ Standard shows them only inside the region. To check your postal code, use NHL.com's Broadcast Area Lookup (it lists Sportsnet West/Sportsnet Flames and Sportsnet West/Sportsnet Oilers for those teams); Sportsnet+'s blackout help article has a map of the Canadian teams' regions.

Sportsnet FAQ

Is Sportsnet the same as TSN?

No. Sportsnet and TSN are separate, competing networks: Sportsnet belongs to Rogers, and TSN to Bell. Each has its own TV channels, its own streaming service (Sportsnet+ for Sportsnet; TSN Standard and TSN Premium for TSN) and its own sports rights.

What's the difference between Sportsnet East, Ontario, West and Pacific?

They're Sportsnet's four regional feeds: Pacific for BC and Yukon; West for Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, the NWT, Nunavut and the western part of NW Ontario; Ontario for most of Ontario; and East for eastern Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada. Regional NHL games air on the team's feed, and only inside the team's region: the Canucks on Sportsnet Pacific (BC and Yukon), and the Oilers and Flames on Sportsnet West (Alberta, Saskatchewan, the NWT and Nunavut, per a 2023 provider document). In Manitoba, NHL.com's Broadcast Area Lookup lists only the Jets, so Oilers and Flames regional games are out of market there.

Is Saturday Night Hockey on Sportsnet?

Yes. Sportsnet's Saturday NHL broadcast is now Saturday Night Hockey, a weekly doubleheader with Ron MacLean, Elliotte Friedman, Kevin Bieksa and Colby Armstrong as the faces of the show. In English, Saturday-night games are exclusive to Sportsnet and Sportsnet+; TVA Sports carries some Saturday games in French.

Is Monday Night Hockey on Sportsnet?

In English, Monday Night Hockey is Sportsnet+ exclusive content in the 2026-27 season: it isn't on Sportsnet's regular TV channels. Rogers and Shaw TV customers with Sportsnet get it at no extra cost: on three dedicated channels for Rogers Xfinity TV, and in an app for other Rogers and Shaw plans. Bell, Telus, Cogeco and SaskTel TV customers with Sportsnet see Saturday Night Hockey on TV, but need Sportsnet+ or the $12.99 add-on for Monday Night Hockey. Price as of October 2026, plus tax.

How can I watch Sportsnet without cable?

With Sportsnet+. Sportsnet+ Standard costs $34.99/month or $269.99/year, and Sportsnet+ Premium $44.99/month or $344.99/year. Prices in Canadian dollars as of October 2026, plus tax. Standard includes Monday Night Hockey, all national Saturday Night Hockey games and 150+ Blue Jays games; Premium adds out-of-market games and every US-vs-US game.

Can I get Sportsnet on Prime Video?

Sportsnet+ says Sportsnet is also sold as a Prime Video Channel (Sportsnet+ on Prime Video): $34.99/month or $269.99/year, or $36.99/month with Citytv+. Prices in Canadian dollars as of October 2026, plus tax. It's a separate subscription billed by Amazon, and you need a Prime membership. Sportsnet+ says it carries the live Sportsnet, Sportsnet ONE and Sportsnet 360 channels, with NHL regional blackouts and no out-of-market NHL games, and that existing Sportsnet+ subscriptions or TV-provider logins can't be used to watch it in Prime Video.

Do I need Sportsnet+ Premium for the Blue Jays?

No. Both Sportsnet+ plans include 150+ Blue Jays games, 150+ US MLB games and every Postseason and World Series game, so Premium is not needed for the Jays.

What channel is Sportsnet+ on Rogers?

On Rogers Xfinity TV, Sportsnet+ exclusive content, including Monday Night Hockey, is on channels 500, 499 and 498 (208, 209 and 210 for Rogers together with Shaw customers), at no extra cost for Rogers and Shaw TV customers with Sportsnet in their plan. Standalone TV, Shaw Legacy TV and Shaw Direct customers watch it in the Rogers Xfinity Stream app or the Sportsnet+ app; Rogers Digital TV customers use the Sportsnet+ app. Shaw Direct's no-cost access runs until June 30, 2027.
