Terms of Service
Last updated:
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Showdar at https://showdar.tv (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Showdar is a free service that provides broadcast schedule information for live sports, helping users find where to watch games on television and streaming platforms in Canada. Schedule and broadcast data is sourced from third-party providers and is provided for informational purposes only.
3. User Accounts
You can create an account with an email address and password, or sign in with your Google account, to use personalized features such as saving favourite teams and the channels you get. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to not create accounts for fraudulent purposes. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information.
4. Accuracy of Information
While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date broadcast schedule information, we make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information displayed on the Service. Schedules, channels, and broadcast details are subject to change by the leagues and broadcasters without notice.
You should always verify broadcast information with your TV provider or the official league source before relying on it.
5. Links, Ads and Commissions
The Service links to other websites, such as broadcasters, leagues and streaming services, so you can check our sources and find more information. We don't control those websites and aren't responsible for their content, prices or terms.
Showdar doesn't show ads today, and no link on the Service earns us money. We may add ads or links that earn us a commission (affiliate links) in the future. If we do:
- Ads and commission links will be labelled on the pages where they appear.
- Commissions and ads will never change which channels or services we list for a game, or the order we list them in.
- Source and citation links will never be commission links.
Any subscription, free trial or purchase you make on another website is between you and that website, under its own terms. Showdar doesn't sell anything itself. See how Showdar makes money.
6. Intellectual Property and Independence
Team names, logos, and league trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify teams and leagues. Showdar is independent: it is not owned or endorsed by any league (including the NHL, NBA and MLB), team or broadcaster. All other content, design, and code of the Service is the property of Showdar.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service in an automated manner beyond reasonable personal use
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Impersonate another person or entity
8. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. In no event shall Showdar be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the Service.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
10. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
